Aaron's Story: Adding Value, Subtracting Worries
Aaron Rogovoy
I have been told that I have an amazing talent for teaching and I want to use my skills in the world.
I am a junior in High Technology High School with a passion for helping others.
As a freshman in high school, I struggled a lot with math. I understand what it is like to need help with understanding concepts and not being able to improve. Now that I am older and more proficient in high school math, I want to be able to use my skills to help others like me.
I started “tutoring” when I was just a kid, helping my sister with her math homework. In freshman year, I started volunteer tutoring for TwoByTwo, helping underserved children in need of academic help during COVID. I now work at both Mathnasium and Kumon and have over a year of experience in tutoring.
Aside from tutoring, I am in my high school debate club, I volunteer at the Happy Animals Sanctuary with my sister, and I have a hobby of sculpting. I was also a C/Cpt. in Civil Air Patrol.
